Privacy Policy

ReadsFreely — Last updated: June 2026

ReadsFreely ("the App", "we", "us") is a minimalist RSS reader for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the App.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. The App does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email address, and does not track you across apps or websites.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

The following data is stored only on your device using local storage and is never transmitted to us:

This data stays on your device. Uninstalling the App removes it completely.

3. RSS Feed Content

When the App refreshes your feeds, it makes network requests directly to the RSS servers you have subscribed to. Those servers may log your IP address as part of normal server operation — this is governed by each feed publisher's own privacy policy, not ours.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

ReadsFreely offers optional paid subscription plans (Standard and Pro). Payments are processed through the device's native OS payment module. Subscription management is powered by RevenueCat, which receives an anonymised device identifier and your entitlement status in order to verify your subscription. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email, or payment details.

RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.

5. Analytics and Advertising

The App contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party tracking of any kind.

6. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Because we collect no personal information from any user, the App is safe for all ages.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

8. Contact

If you have questions about this privacy policy, please email us at readsfreely@gmail.com or open an issue on our GitHub repository.
